Gin, maraschino, and a rare pour of crème de violette that turns the glass the color of dusk. Ensslin's 1916 original, back from near-extinction.

  1. 2 ozGin
  2. ½ ozMaraschino liqueur
  3. ¼ ozCrème de violette
  4. ¾ ozLemon juice

Served up

Shake with ice until cold. Double strain into a chilled coupe and garnish with a cherry. Garnish: Brandied cherry.
