Harry Yee tinted a rum cooler with blue curaçao for a liquor salesman and painted a whole era — pineapple, citrus, and that unmistakable lagoon color.

1. ¾ ozWhite rum
2. ¾ ozVodka
3. ½ ozBlue curaçao
4. 2 ozPineapple juice
5. ½ ozLemon juice
6. ¼ ozSimple syrup

Over crushed ice

Shake with ice and strain into a hurricane glass of crushed ice. Garnish: Pineapple and cherry.
