Caribbean Rum Punch
The old island rhyme made drinkable — one of sour, two of sweet, three of strong, four of weak, with bitters and nutmeg to seal it. The mother of every rum punch.
- 6 ozAged Jamaican rum
- 2 ozLime juice
- 4 ozDemerara syrup
- 6 dashAngostura bitters
- 8 ozSoda waterOr water, to dilute
Over crushed ice
Stir the lime, syrup, rum, and water together over crushed ice and finish with the bitters. Serves 6. Garnish: Orange wheels and grated nutmeg.
