Gin Basil Smash

Jörg Meyer muddled a fistful of basil into a gin sour and made a modern classic overnight — herbaceous, green, and startlingly fresh.

  1. 2 ozGin
  2. ¾ ozLemon juice
  3. ½ ozSimple syrup
  4. BasilA handful, muddled

Over cubed ice

Muddle the basil, add the rest, and shake hard with ice. Double strain over fresh ice. Garnish: Basil sprig.
