The author took his Daiquiri sugarless and doubled — white rum, lime, grapefruit, and maraschino, bone-dry and bracing. Also known as the Papa Doble.

1. 2 ozWhite rum
2. ¾ ozLime juice
3. ½ ozGrapefruit juice
4. ¼ ozMaraschino liqueur

Served up

Shake with ice and double strain into a chilled coupe. Garnish: Lime wheel.
