Created for the Kuala Lumpur Hilton's aviary-side cocktail hour, forgotten for twenty years, then resurrected as the tiki drink even Campari drinkers respect.

  1. 1½ ozBlackstrap rumThe funk is structural
  2. ¾ ozCampari
  3. 1½ ozPineapple juice
  4. ½ ozLime juice
  5. ½ ozDemerara syrup2:1

Over cubed ice

Shake hard with cracked ice. Pour unstrained into a rocks glass. Garnish: Pineapple frond.
