The Martini's sweeter ancestor — Old Tom gin, sweet vermouth, and maraschino, from the years before the drink went dry and cold.

1. 1½ ozOld Tom gin
2. 1½ ozSweet vermouth
3. ¼ ozMaraschino liqueur
4. 2 dashOrange bitters

Served up

Stir with ice until well chilled. Strain into a chilled coupe and express a lemon twist over the top. Garnish: Lemon twist.
