Sangria
Red wine steeped with brandy, citrus, and fruit until it is more than the sum of a cheap bottle — Spain's answer to the pitcher, made for a long table.
- 4 ozRed wine
- ¾ ozBrandy
- 1 ozOrange juice
- ½ ozLemon juice
- ½ ozSimple syrup
Over cubed ice
Combine the wine, brandy, citrus, and syrup in a pitcher with sliced fruit and chill for a few hours. Serve over ice. (Amounts are per serving; scale to the pitcher.) Garnish: Orange and apple slices.
