A short, dark, blood-red rum sour with nothing wasted — aged rum, lime, grenadine, and falernum. Small glass, long memory.

1. 2 ozAged Jamaican rum
2. ¾ ozLime juice
3. ½ ozGrenadine
4. ¼ ozVelvet falernum

Over crushed ice

Shake with ice and strain over crushed ice in a rocks glass. Garnish: Lime wheel.
