A julep's citrusy cousin — bourbon, lemon, and mint pounded together over crushed ice. Summer in a rocks glass.

1. 2 ozBourbon
2. ¾ ozLemon juice
3. ½ ozSimple syrup
4. MintA handful, muddled

Over crushed ice

Muddle the mint with syrup, add bourbon and lemon juice, and shake with ice. Strain over crushed ice. Garnish: Mint sprig.
