How it works
One dark bar, plainly explained.
Shadow & Palm is a members' canon of cocktails with a few tools built to help you actually pour something. Here's what's behind every door.
Getting In
Shadow & Palm is invite-only. Ask a member — or an admin — for an invite code, use it to create your account, then sign in. Once you're behind the door, everything below is yours.
The Canon
The full library of recipes, classics and tiki alike, browsable and searchable by room, category, flavor, or method. Free to read, whether you're signed in or just passing through — never paywalled.
My Bar
Once you're in, tell My Bar which bottles you actually own — down to the named bottle, so two different aged rums each count. It shows what you can make right now, what's one bottle away, and a "buy next" pick ranking which single bottle unlocks the most drinks. Substitutions and ingredient hierarchy are handled for you.
Photo-to-Shelf
On My Bar, skip typing each bottle — snap a photo of your shelf and it reads the labels for you. Nothing's added until you review the checklist and confirm it.
The Lab
Pick 2 to 12 ingredients you have on hand plus a mood, and The Lab either finds a classic that fits or invents something new. It's metered — a handful of pours a month — with your usage tracked on your Account page.
Concierge Search
Describe what you're after in plain language — "something smoky and stirred" — and it interprets the request and searches the canon for you.
Recipe from Photo
Found a cocktail on a card, a cookbook page, or a magazine clipping? Starting a new recipe in My Book, scan it and the details — ingredients, method, garnish — are extracted for you to confirm and save. It rewrites the steps in its own words; it never copies the page's prose.
My Book
Your private shelf: save recipes from the canon, write your own from scratch, and decide later whether to publish any of them to the Community.
Favorites
A quicker bookmark for canon recipes you love — no book-keeping required.

Recipes members have chosen to publish, poured out for anyone to browse.
